The following are the places of interest in Ranaghat Police District:

1. Shantipur

          Shantipur had been a seat of Sanskrit learning and literature, Vedic texts and scriptures since ninth century. It is located in the Ranaghat Sub-division of the district and is about 18 K.M. away from Krishnagar. The Topkhana Mosque was built by Fauzder Gazi Mohammad Yaar Khan in 1703 – 1704 during the reign of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. This mosque consists of a big dome and eight minars.

 

2. Radha Krishna Temple, Birnagar

         Nestled in the heart of Birnagar under Taherpur PS, the Radha Krishna Temple stands as a testament to ingenuity in the face of natural constraints. The scarcity of stone in the Bengal flood plains inspired architects to craft a masterpiece using burnt clay bricks, giving birth to a unique and resplendent form of temple architecture that echoes the resourcefulness of its creators.

 

3. Charchala Temple Palpara, Chakdaha

         Being discovered in the enchanting allure of Charchala Temple in Palpara, under Chakdaha PS Nadia district, crafted in the 17th century by Gandharba Roy, this south-facing marvel of brickwork on a raised plinth whispers tales of history, its founder lost to time but its charm enduring through the ages.

 

4. Sati Mayer Bari, Kalyani

       The divine charm of Sati Mayer Bari in Kalyani, Nadia is situated where the revered Sati Maa is worshipped by the Kartabhaja sect. Enveloped in the sacred ambiance of Ghosh para, a vibrant fair unfolds, uniting devotees all.

 

5. Aatchala Terracotta Temple, Chakdah

       Enchanting visitors with its terracotta splendor, the Aatchala Temple in Chakdaha, dating back to the late 1600s, stands as a mesmerizing testament to Nadia district's artistic heritage.
